TrueAccord is a FinTech scaleup that created — and now leads — the digital debt collections category. Thanks to a powerful product and a strong team, the company has achieved impressive product-market-fit and rapid revenue growth with very little investment in marketing.

With the backdrop of COVID-19 and accelerating growth, TrueAccord was looking to build out its marketing infrastructure and demand generation capabilities, all while searching for new marketing leader. They wanted to move fast, and not wait until they found the perfect marketing unicorn.

In the first few months of the engagement, Blue Seedling set up a new marketing tech stack, built a content-based demand generation engine, doubled the number of Sales Opportunities, and hired two in-house marketing team members.

  • A content-based demand generation engine: Blue Seedling built a scalable, repeatable demand generation engine powered by integrated marketing campaigns based on content, webinars, and email marketing.
    • We focused on original, high quality, research-based content like a COVID-19 data journalism report and webinars featuring well-known clients. These assets engaged thousands of leads within TrueAccord’s target audience.
    • Prudent investment in online advertising, including partnerships with niche fintech publications with high velocity of qualified leads and low cost per lead.
  • Marketing infrastructure built from the ground up:
    • Created new sales collateral and product marketing material – sales decks, company brochures, product sheets
    • Updated the website – not a full rebuild, but a fresh coat of paint with a punched-up look & feel
    • Upleveled the marketing tech stack with Marketo and select data hygiene and lead augmentation tools
    • Collaborated with Sales on pipeline definitions, data hygiene, and reporting
    • Set up foundational marketing processes and tools such as marketing forecast, budget, and calendar
  • Built out the in-house team: Hired two (fantastic) in-house marketers.
